No, Glade Sprays and all other SC Johnson aerosols have been chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) free since 1975.

Are Glade Spray cans recyclable?
Yes, Glade sprays and other SC Johnson empty steel and aluminum aerosol cans can be recycled along with other empty steel and aluminum cans in many communities that operate recycling programs.

Sustainability

Steel can is recyclable. Filling process uses more than 30% renewable energy. Did you know that each year, if every aerosol can produced were recycled, the steel saved could build 160,000 cars? Recycling those aerosol cans would also save the energy equivalent of 5.7 million barrels of oil.
